In this course, titled “Women’s Wellness,” we delve into crucial aspects of women’s health, covering a spectrum of topics to empower and inform. Beginning with discussions on stroke in women, the COVID-19 vaccine’s impact on breastfeeding, and insights from Dr. Holly Gallion, a GYN Oncologist, we move on to emphasize the significance of Pap smear and mammogram screenings. Exploring health talks, we shed light on HPV vaccination and cervical cancer, breastfeeding, and the identification of endometrial cancer. The course stresses the importance of annual mammograms and provides comprehensive knowledge about lumpectomies and mastectomies. Additionally, we address postpartum depression and participate in a virtual breast cancer survivor’s dinner. Concluding with talks on human papillomavirus (HPV) and the three trimesters of pregnancy, participants will gain valuable insights into women’s wellness, fostering a proactive approach towards their health. By the end of this course, individuals will be equipped with knowledge essential for making informed decisions about their well-being.
