In this course, participants will embark on a linguistic journey to Learn Russian Through Reading, utilizing captivating materials such as children’s books and a Russian alphabet poem. The exploration begins with delightful tales like “Цыплёнок и утёнок,” “Жадная Шурочка,” and “Про Машу и манную кашу,” providing a foundation for language acquisition through engaging narratives.
The course progresses with the introduction of the Russian alphabet poem by Борис Заходер, enhancing participants’ familiarity with the Cyrillic script and poetic expressions. Further immersion unfolds with enchanting stories like “Весёлый Новый Год” and the winter-themed book “Е Мигунов Зимние забавы,” offering diverse linguistic contexts.
Participants will not only absorb the language through narrative exploration but also develop an appreciation for Russian culture embedded in these literary works. By engaging with these materials, participants will enhance their reading skills, expand their vocabulary, and develop a deeper understanding of the Russian language.
