In this course, students will embark on a comprehensive journey into the world of academic and research writing. Starting with an introduction to the course, participants will delve into understanding the essence of research writing and the intricate Writing Process, exploring its various facets in lessons such as Finding what to read, Reading research documents, and Paying attention to what you read. As the course progresses, students will master the art of Reviewing Literature, examining Elements of writing, and honing skills in Literature review supporting your claim and Shaping your appeal. Through lessons on Outlining, Organizing an argument, and Methodology, participants will learn the critical tools for crafting effective research papers. The course covers vital aspects of presenting quantitative and qualitative data, writing results and discussion sections, and crafting a compelling conclusion. Additional sessions focus on Academic Integrity, Acknowledging sources, overcoming Writer’s Block, and perfecting the revision, editing, and proofreading processes. Wrapping up the course, students will gain insights into Choosing a journal to publish in and adeptly responding to reviewer comments.
